Creatures

Last Friday night, Brad and I were sitting around in the living room doing bucket loads of nothing.

He has recently become a bit addicted to playing solitaire on his phone. So while he was doing that, I was flipping through crochet patterns on the Lion Brand Yarn App on my iPhone.

Yep, it just got that kind of nerdy up in here.  I have yarn apps.

I noticed several different patterns for crocheted stuffed animals called amigurumi. At first the patterns intimidated me a little, but after reading through one I decided to give it a shot.

The first one I made was a little bunny.

When I finished putting him all together, his little face told me that he needed a child to love him. I decided to give him to some friends of ours who are pregnant with their first baby. Baby won't get here from a few more months, but I'm sure bunny will wait happily for his new friend to arrive.

Ever since his completion, making these little guys is all I can think about. I've completed one more already, and have another one in the works.

To all of my friends out there, if you have small children or are preggo, you're probably going to end up with a creature someday soon.
