Still no baby, and we're getting very impatient.
We had the 40-week check up with the midwife today and I'm only 50% effaced and not at all dilated. But I'm 85% discouraged and frustrated.
I think she could tell how disappointed I am. She explained that most first babies are around 10 days late and that's about how much time she'd say I have to go. ...ugh!
I made hubby take me out for a giant cheeseburger and fries after that crummy news.
We've scheduled some tests for next week just to make sure the little one's doing OK in there.
She's still moving around a ton and seems to be doing fine from my perspective.
It's a hard thing to wait for your little one to get here on her own time. But wait we will because what else can we do?
I was a firstborn and I was 2 1/2 weeks late and still came out 6 1/2 pounds. She'll be fine. She's just chillin' a bit longer!
ReplyDeleteOh, we just got home from the hospital and I couldn't wait to check your blog and see if there was any news! I will tell you, waking up at 4 AM to complications and having an emergency C-section on our due date was not the most fun ... so I am praying that your waiting means you can avoid that!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your little girl!
