Friday!

It's Friday today.  Finally, finally, FINALLY!

In an effort to rid myself of the moody, weepy funk I've been in, I am going to share with all of you the things that are making me happy and excited in between fits of tears.

Christmas

Our living room last year
I am super super super excited to decorate for Christmas this year. I don't know if it's the nesting kicking in or the fact that we'll have super shiny newly refinished hardwood floors, but I cannot wait!  Brad promised me we could get a real tree this year (I've had a fake one since living in an apartment) yay tree smell! I've even started a Christmas Decor Board on Pinterest.  Also, I've already got a craft date planned with a good friend to make salt dough ornaments and sugar cookies.  If you're feeling crafty and want to join in the fun, let me know. You're invited!

Refinished Hardwoods

This is a before shot of the worst part of our hardwoods. They are hideous. Our house is 86 years old, and these floors have never been redone. On Monday, we have a company coming in to sand these bad boys down and make them all pretty and new again. We've spent the last few days moving all of the furniture off of the floor (annoying), and we have to move out of the house for a week (HUGE PAIN!). But I cannot wait to see how they turn out!  I will definitely post before and after shots when we move back in.

DIY Snow Globes  I'm totally making one (or 100) of these.

Baby Girl's nursery is almost finished!  I thought I had a sneak peak photo, but I don't.  So you'll just have to wait and see.

Speaking of Baby Girl. She has a name! Which I will also announce at a later date.  Oh, the suspense... it's killing you, right?

You've heard me talk about my friend, Ruthy. Well, she just recently gave birth to the cutest little nugget of a daughter, Parker Penny. Parker is already 9 weeks old, and she just keeps getting cuter as she grows! Head over to Ruthy's blog to check out all the pics. Seriously, so precious! She brings out my ear-piercing screechy "I'm talking to a baby" voice, and there's nothing I can do to stop myself.
