When I was a kid, I wanted to get the tree as soon as possible after Thanksgiving, and then we had to leave it up into mid-January, at least! I remember one year, I came downstairs on the day after Christmas, and the tree was gone and everything was back to normal. I cried.
A few years ago, while living in my first big girl apartment (meaning I didn't have roommates) I bought my very own Christmas tree, and decorations. The ornaments I bought for the tree were fairly close replicas of the antique ones we'd had at home. I always like things that have history attached to them.
So when a chance came this year, to participate in an ornament exchange with other bloggers, of course I jumped at the chance.
Tina of Like Ordinary Life sent this little guy to me from Maryland, where she lives. Isn't he awesome!? He's the first ornament I've gotten as a gift and I love him.
He fits in so nicely on our cute little tree.
Oh, that's so sweet. I love getting ornaments from other states. A friend sent me a New York one from Henri Bendel's and I love it.
ReplyDeleteAwww yay! I am glad you like him. He's tiny compared to your king crabs, but he's a good little blue crab. ;)
ReplyDeletelove that ornament!!
ReplyDeleteI just love it when bloggers send things that are piece of where they live. Love that crab!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in all the fun. :)
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas season this year!
